Winter Highways

Winter Highways at Snoqualmie. Oil on Canvas. 18 x 22.

This is the first of several paintings of the highway in winter. Where I live winter means rain, wet pavement, raking light, fog and sometimes snow.

This is of Snoqualmie Pass in the rain.

The shapes in this painting are very pleasing, Lisa!

Thanks Casey! I've signed up for Deborah Paris' class on tonalism and though the class hasn't started yet, this is my first painting using the supply list and ideas gleaned from the background materials.

Ah! Deborah is the greatest...my compliments. I hope you'll post as you go, too.
